Thank you.

March 31, 2008

Thanks for staying up til really late in the morning, to be by me, hear me rant, hear me cry. It’s been a long time since someone did something like that for me, and I feel some what important again – am I? You don’t have to answer that. I hope your day went swell, and I hope the wedding went great too.

Thanks for staying up til really late, struggling before the computer giving me advice, being by me. I’ve always had you, and you’ve always been there for me whenver wherever. I feel like you deserve so much better from everyone around you – perhaps it was a mistake to burden you with my problems? I just want you to be happy.

Thanks for writing the letter. It was such a surprise! I opened it and read it repeatedly through out the lesson. It’s like a symbol of hope. Your handwriting is gorgeous – it’s always been, you know that, and it really does cheer me up to know someone in class actually cares so much about me.

Thanks for treating us to dinner today. You’re an amazing person, you know that? So generous, so friendly and so sensitive. I promise to treat you one day. (: I promise! This totally brightened up my day.

On a seperate note,

a little bird died in school today. It was injured when I found it lying on the steps linking the parade square to the canteen. I bent down seeing if it’d fly away but it didn’t, and then I knew something was wrong. It was hurt – I think it’s wing was broken. It couldn’t fly/run away, it could only hop. It could hardly balance on it’s own two feet. Words can’t describe how I was struggling inside so much, just wishing that it’d be okay soon. Thank you friends who were by me during that time. I just hate to see things go like that.

Why so cruel?

A little heaven in everyone little

March 30, 2008

I was thinking just now on the bus trip home about how we’re all just so different. We all have different personalities, we behave differently, think differently, live differently and look different (even twins look different too)! It’s amazing how we manage to live amongst one another in the world, though there are times when the human heart isn’t big enough to accept one another’s differences, and then problems arise.

I believe that no matter how different we are from one another, we’re all still amazing in our little ways. Little actions like a wave or a smile can change a person’s emotions in a split second – you probably don’t realize it, but sometimes it really does work some magic in the person. Did you know that many times, a wave or a smile which I recieve in school can make me feel happy! ><

I believe that everyone’s got a little bit of heaven in them to be someone else’s heaven.

Just the random thought of the day.

Blogging backwards

March 29, 2008

Let’s just tilt the handles of time backwards and blog from the present til the past, shall we?

Only for today, I promise. Somehow it allows my thoughts to flow more rapidly.

We arrived at Happy Avenue sometime at 8pm to celebrate Little Li Ting’s 5th birthday! This particular little girl has always been my favourite out of the bunch of Feng’s cousins. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by her tugging my shirt, asking to see what I was hiding from her – A little Baby Eeyore plushie, and a PPG wallet.

eeyore

My camera died after I took this photo of eeyore. I was unable to take a photo of her! =( She looked quite happy and thanked me for it though. We headed upstairs after dinner to play some miniclips games. Li Ting’s so cute, always stealing my attention from somebody hahaha. =D

Left for home at 10.30, and came home at about 11.

Before that, I met Feng at J8 after his training. ^^

Walked about at J8 finding Li Ting’s present. I initially wanted to get the yellow bunny soft toy/ or the little monkey one, but decided that Eeyore would suit her best.

heehee

Just some random photography:

boss

Hmpf! I am boss! I take up SPACE. =D

smiling toys

If toys can smile why can’t we?

happy elephants

This is a happy elephant family. =)

I was at ACJC in the afternoon - strolling past booths and searching for food at their carnival event. Fun-o-rama! Tons of people were there, and apparently the doll house/haunted house stations were the most popular. My initial motive of going there was to check out the gallery, but ah it’s locked today. I only got informed the moment I arrived, sigh. -_-

scary guy

Random guy who kept approaching me to invest in their haunted house – I kept running away from him.

Spent something like $15 on food. Met Darryl Chen, Tham Tham, Sarah, Tracey, Shanan (and his cousins), Ivan (,Wenda, Si Pei, Yun Ting and gang), Choonmin (and friends), and a whole lot more people there. I’m sorry if I didn’t mention your name. =/ Jiayi was alllll the wayyyyy at ACSIB so I was left stranded at the band.

the band

I liked the band playing at the shelter. They actually caught my attention 12345 miles away and lead me to them magically. Two Steps Behind, High and Dry, Accidentally In Love? Very, very catchy. Good singer, good guitarist, good drummer. Couldn’t make out the bass though, or is that just me? =)

I woke up real late in the morning, and bummed around. =D

I was dreaming about how we could one day ride in a car together, down a hill. It had to be somewhere in NZ or the US because we’d need a really big grass patch, with loads of sheep on top. I dreamt that we just drove around and the little herds of sheep seperated and made way for us everytime we intersected their little bunch. =D It was amusing, but very magical.

I fell asleep.

I closed my eyes.

I rubbed my eyes, twice.

I put my pillow underneath my head.

I sent my last phone message.

I lay on the bed.

I switched off the lights.

..

.

Goodnight. =)

HAHA NOT YET LAAAAAA.

We ate dinner before walking about J8 yesterday night, and decided to check out the newly renovated Food Junction, and tada, I have photos!

food junction - new!

It looks awesome. Really classy and elegant. They’ve got new cutlery and a brand new service attitude – did they change workers? …

Edit: LOOK AT THE PINK LANTERN – it’s the one and only lantern in the entire food junction haha I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw it. Thanks for the reminder, paw. =)

toilet sign stupiddd

Check out the toilet sign! What an INSULT to women. Grr.

toilet!

And the toilets!!!

And random photography. ><

er

hmm

AH so tired, goodnight. =)

Edit: Oh and I decided to name my frisbee GREEN. I wonder why! Hahaha. Thanks Pauline and Oce. =D I’m hoping no one decides to grab at someone else’s when I ask them for mine!

MAHAHA-ud. (:

March 26, 2008

I can’t believe my title.

:D

Had three blocks of lesson and then school ended for me! Assembly talk for the selected classes was conducted by the head librarian -what does that have to do with PW?! =D I don’t know!

1

Frisbee later on was very fun. The field was still muddy from yesterday’s rain and I really, reaallllyyy didn’t want to dirty my shoes, so I took them off before I stepped into the field! =D Our Teacher IC caught a few of them though, and forced them to wear back their shoes. KILL JOYYYY!!! >=/

2

The mud was soft and smooshie.

=D

Running, jumping and sliding in the mud was quite an experience for me. It’s the first time I’ve ran barefooted in RJ’s muddy field, and I like it!!! It feels completely different from running with shoes on – I hate to dirty my shoes. Ack! =/

3

Smelly feet. =D

Did sprints, throws, suicide and then played a friendly. Ah, I need to learn everyone’s names so I can shout to them during the game. (/_\) I’m having a hard time getting their attention on the field…

Today is also Ca(p)t(ain)’s birthday!!! =D

5

And I got my FRISBEE TODAY!!! Finally!!!

It’s bright yellow (wheewheewhee) and it really, really stands out. I like how it seems to shine without trying. XD

4

Look at Cat giving my frisbee it’s virgin throw after making a birthday wish. -_-

6

Oh boy=_=, I’m so excited.

There it goes. Whoohoo.

MY brand new frisbee into the muddy field. T_T

=_______________________=

As training came to an end, I saw Kevy!!! Lena was there earlier with her while training was still on, and had to leave midway for street dance try outs. Pity she wasn’t around! Kevy and I took jump shots!

7

Oh but before that, this is just so precious right??? =D Aww!!!

jump1

用你给我的翅膀飞~~~

jump2.jpg

Supermannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! :D

jump3.jpg

Kevy said my legs spell Loser in the last jump shot.

I told Zheng Feng later on that it just spelled Lena Lim. =D

Ah but too bad Kevy doesn’t wear FBTs below her skirt (not that I do/will), if not she could have jumped much much higher and been more enthusiastic about it, ahem. =D

Met Lena and Feng at the canteen later on. Dinner was at S11, before we headed for bubble tea with pudding. ^_^ Was very satisfied and happy.

Ahh!!!

???

Just happy~ =D

and sleepy. ^^”

Any suggestions what I should name my yellow frisbee?

I wanted Lemonade, but that’s a little too predictable. :D

Sunflower in the rain.

March 24, 2008

After working out in the morning, both my right AND left eye developed a STY each. It’s like a swell either on the bottom or top eyelid due to a bacteria infection. This makes me wonder if my sweat contains a whole lot of bacteria…

Mama came by sometime near 8am and picked me up from school. She brought me to Thomson Medical Centre and got me checked – now I’m armed with both eyedrops and antibiotic cream. They have been extremely effective. It’s only been a day and my eyes look as if they went back to normal already.

I want to thank everyone who asked how I was doing/care for me/want me to get well. =D Sweeties, haha all of you.

Spending a day at home means I missed the entire day at school *Gasp!!!* Feng came over to visit after an unsuccessful gym session, and we ate dinner at Prince Cafe. It was pouring so heavily that we were stranded at Coro for like an hour. =D I like.

This is what being at home with a computer for more than 3 hours does to you (Well I didn’t need 3 hours to complete this of course) :

 sun1

So we begin at an original photograph – clean, sleek and bright. (Took this at church camp site last year.)

sun2

We eat the colour away, slowly.

sun3

And then infuse a strange hue. Transformation is taking place…

sun4

GOO?!?!! Let’s wipe it off slowly…

sun5

We leave traces of what seems to be an array of colour outlines. Where did all the colour go?

sun6

The lines close in and wrap the sunflower up into a ball (This totally looks like the membranes we learn in Biology – zzz!)

sun8

In a flash, everything is sucked away.

sun7

A blizzard blows by, taking everything except

sun9

the colour of the sunflower.

-The End!

Guest in the house!

March 22, 2008

At first I couldn’t believe it either,

but now that I’ve come to terms with it…

guess which guest is staying over at my place tonight?

Told you I couldn’t believe it either.

Now to disturb his shower! Mwahaha!!!

XD

Edit:

Bada! Bada! Badadadum. =)

pour our love

Today turned out to be a brilliant day. I showered after he finished showering yesterday and then we proceeded to jumping/bouncing on the bed! Checking out the guest rooms! Chatting, doing alot of things and basically not sleeping a wink until 6+am, which was after I cooked breakfast at 5.30am.

Woke up sometime near 10-11am, all drowsy with the lack of sleep. XD

We lay around for quite some time before heading out to eat Macs! Got didi a McChicken and came home to realize Mama was back from church already and bought lunch for him. =_= Ahem.

After we came back, we sat in my room and continued chatting and playing until I got so sleepy that I fell sleep. And then he fell asleep. And Mama came in to wake us up at 5pm to tell us we were going out for dinner. Mama brought us to Sushi Teh at Thompson Plaza, where I ate to my stomach’s content and am feeling so satisfied and Jappy now.

MOSHI MOSHI!!! XD

My brother, sister and feng literally ganged up to suan/bully me through out dinner and I was trying to save myself the torture by not talking to them that much (because everytime I say something, my brother would go ‘What? What?’ or ‘Did you hear something?’ or ‘What? Did you just say ‘loser, loser, loser!!?” and everyone would end up laughing) but I couldn’t help myself so basically quoting feng ‘you got owned. XD’

Thanks ah, love.

Ahhh I think it’s very cute how mum likes to take care of him.

We came back sometime near 8pm and then I sent him off!

Did art since then, am still doing, will still be doing. =)

Can we have more days like this!!! I waaaaaannnnnnn!!!

Good Everyday

March 22, 2008

The clock has just struck twelve – it’s the afternoon already!

Goodness, time sure does fly. -flapflap-

We submitted our Art Journals on Thursday, and that’s finally a load off my back. Reconstructing an entire journal out of nothing (much) was exhausting, but the process was rather enjoyable! =) A night without sleep (which proceeded with dying in classroom tutorials the next day), panic sessions in the afternoon and an hour before submission were well, quite an experience.

Did I mention that we have an online portfolio due? And I have yet to submit my Feldman’s Theory on art criticism. I thank Mr.Chia for the extension, for without it I would have eroded into nothing but a sleepy pile of grey fairy dust. That just means Mr.Chia would have killed me; I dieded. xD

Friday afternoon was spent on Street Dance rehearsals (I missed class outing, sigh). Very, very fun, amusing company that sometimes you just cannotstandit!!! SIT DOWN LA Hahaha, We started out learning the steps for Yeah before Yuhan proceeded to choreograph the lyrical portion in Run It. We ended the session talking about Maple Story, Gunbound and how a member still remains a golden axe despite 4-5 years of gaming =_=.

I swear we must have a GB session ASAP!!! Silver Battle Axe FTW !!! =P

Went for dinner at Pasta Mania with Zheng Feng, Kevy, Nat, Jacky, Marissa and Zhi Xian later on at Cine. I shamelessly stole $32.90 from Kevy later on (and left her impoverished Mwahaha – I am so bad right!!! I know…) while they were having dessert and went for an entertainment session – Icecream and Horton with Feng! We now are very paiseh towards Kevyna and swear she is 大老板娘. ><

不要把我的头砍掉!

(Secret highlight, Kevy!)

大老板娘

万岁,万岁,

万万岁!

… ^_^”

Horton was hilarious. Please, everyone, go watch. -Kneels and begs-

Came home sometime near 11.45- 12.00 and Mama didn’t scold me!!!

-

Oh, breakfast today!

breakfast

I believe that everyday can be a good day! We don’t necessarily need the day to be a holiday (Good Friday – haha literally) for it to be one filled with joy and love. I’m so thankful for that.

Fun before breakfast to remind you to smileee!

breakfast!!!

=)

Sweetness

这朵花送给你!

Stayed up to start on my Art Journal yesterday night and ended up not sleeping a wink! Boy, was I drained.  School today was difficult, but I’m back home and still doing quite okay. I’m tired, but there’s more art to be done. Oh no!

Looking at the animation makes me smile. =) To everyone who showed concern for me today, thank you! I promise to pamper myself with sufficient rest once the weekend comes rolling by.

I like it when you’re shy. It’s very attractive.

^^

Arty Farts.

March 18, 2008

Art Class today was much less tense – maybe we’re taking steady paced reviving from the holidays.

The ‘back to school’ feeling doesn’t seem so much different from the holidays to me. Strange. I feel more stressed up though, because Art homework is nagging at the back of my head. I WANT to complete it, and I want to enjoy the process. (:

Art, art, art.

Farty people are so fun to be around.

=D

I honestly didn’t just say that!

Gratitude

March 17, 2008

She bent her knees with one food forward, curtseyed and smiled!

Dearest:

#1. Yang Yen Yen, who lent me her notes for photocopying because I lost my homework file

#2. Chey Zheng Feng, who’s always there <3

#3. FRIENDS, who care so much !

#4. Mum, who bought cereal for me

… hear me say!

Thank you for making my day.

It’s okay, Jia.

March 16, 2008

I was packing my things, ready to leave the house when I realized that I couldn’t find my blue file.

And then it hit me.

Where has my homework file gone to?

Tracing back my footsteps, I realized that I had left it at the B1 toilet at Junction8. I was at Junction8 yesterday, and I visited the toilet some time near 4pm.

Oh my goodness.

I immediately sat on an emotional rollercoaster ride which took me through cages of shock, frustration, sadness, and helplessness. I cabbed down to J8 immediately (it was around 1pm today) and asked the cleaners – apparently she found it and handed it over to 3 school boys whom she had instructed to help bring it to the Lost and Found station, which was the Customer Service Counter. I thought to myself :Oh em gee, please be there!

Ran to the counter looking all lost and flustered and embarrassedly asked the two ladies at the counter if someone had handed over a blue file.

“Hold on, I’ll check for you.”

heart … beat. . heart . . beat. . heart beat heartbeatheartbeat!!!

“No leh.”

Well, let’s just say that I had a rather tough time after that moment. I broke down in front of her (I’m so sorry), and continued breaking down until Feng arrived (I’m so, so sorry), and continued later on during intervals (I’m really very sorry…) and only stopped before I bought fries which was something like 2+ hours(comfort food works best!). My eyeballs felt as if they were sizzling on metal plates and my nose was sore.

I’m alot better now though, after spending some time at his place.

Let’s hope my teachers will be kind.

I hope it miraculously appears in the General Office tomorrow. -Prays-

Mmhmm.

It’s okay, Jia, it’s okay.

浪漫(画)!

March 14, 2008

So today was TXY’s amazing race along the red MRT line, which turned out to be really mind blowing and hilarious at times. It was draining, but really worth the time spent with good company! It feels nice to be around nice people – that’s only natural of course. =)

pink-flowers.jpg
- Pink flowers at Toa Payoh Town Park!

Lena was a hyper, encouraging, good team leader. Go 漫画!

漫画,漫画,慢慢来!(:

This represents the team’s gradual ascend to greatness.

=D!!!

I’d like to thank the important Lena Pok for taking care of me and making sure I felt part of things. It’s very nice that you’re always looking behind your back to make sure that monster me’s still following the group, and it’s nice to see that smile when your eyes meet mine. It’s mischievous in a way, and alluring, and happifying. =)

Left for Bishan to meet Zheng Feng, and . . . I couldn’t breathe the moment I saw him. It’s difficult to describe that feeling gushing out of your chest. A moment there you had so much excitement and anticipation pumping through you right and when you least expect it (this adds on to the shock), a heavy ton is pressed against your lungs and you feel the space/air in your body compressing. You’re alive, you know it, and everything’s just so raw and real. Then you smile and your face gets heated up, before the pressure and everything is lifted, and you feel yourself floating inside.

And then you laugh, and you can’t stop laughing!

The best part is that he’s laughing too. ^^

Wet <3s for you

March 13, 2008

Before anything, . . . da da da!

clap hands!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDA

MEIMEI!!! ^^

You’re a Terrific Thirteener! =)

Just felt it was important and necessary for me to say this (here) to you because I haven’t today (and you’re already asleep, you little sleepyhead) – You’re very important to me, and you always will be, always will (!!!).

Spent some time in the morning drawing sketches before Mom picked Mei and Rainee from school and brought us to the Hong Kong Cafe at Anchor Point for lunch. Scumptious yummies which delighted my tummytumtum (!) came in (unexpectedly) very, very large servings. I Almost collapsed finishing my maincourse but was revived the moment dessert arrived. =D Ma never fails to remind me that I’m a sucker for sweet things! Had a tummyache from eating hot and cold food at the same time though. (T_T”)

Had math tuition with ever-so-pretty Mrs. Chan later on, and we ended up chatting about pretty boys and finding out directions to SPH (Singapore Press Holdings) from her place. Mrs. Chan lies about her age!!! XD Took the MRT to braddell and walked to SPH, where I met Lena and joined her with her TXY friends for orientation.

Running after the lift, being anal about professionalism and participant details, getting hooked onto sultana biscuits/lemon biscuits, laughing and talking and not to mention trying to blend in with TXY groups hoping no one notices I’m not supposed to be there was entertaining and fun!!! Really. =)

Settled alot of administration work and left for dinner at Cine where we ate Japanese Food at Kobayashi. If there is a MODANYAKI(Modern) why isn’t there a RURAYAKI(Rural)? =D Hahaha! We ended up talking and it was really enjoyable.

It became even more enjoyable when this little boy dressed entirely blue popped by and started playing with us through the glass.

 Korean boy!!!
We poked fun at him before he started breathing onto the glass – drawing people, crosses and ticks (labelling us time to time) and hearts. It was really, really, really adorable (!!!), and he was so sincere when he drew three people and a heart before he left with his family. Photographs and memories are all that I have from today.

Somethings you don’t see/feel everyday, that’s why you learn to treasure the presence before it’s gone. Little boy in blue made me (and I believe it made Lena) happy. =))) Came home after that.

Daddy msned me from Shang Hai just a while ago!!!

Daddy’sconversation

I think Daddy’s initials (ST) refer to Super Tian! ><

Looking forward to what tomorrow will bring (back).

Raindrops

March 12, 2008

are falling on my head, bada! badaaa~  …

Imagine every descending raindrop in a different colour, splashing down from the high heavens. Wouldn’t that look pretty amazing? I wouldn’t mind getting wet – If the droplets form nice smudges all over my attire and I look like an artist took revenge on me. Er, I could live to tell the tale! =D

It was pouring wet this cold, cold afternoon. Actually, I should have mentioned it in the earlier post that even after stepping out of the NUS musuem, the air outside wasn’t much warmer anyway. It was THAT cold, and I was shivering – Note to self: Next time Jia goes to an airconditioned musuem, she will wear long pants.

In such a weather like this, don’t you just feel like snuggling up in a warm comfy blanket with all the food you can imagine next to you as you curl up in bed with a soft pillow supporting your head up and you’re watching your favourite cartoon/surfing the net/eating breakfast/lunch/dinner (all in bed btw)!

Maybe curling up underneath the blanket in bed will suffice.

kitty

Kitty’s cold too. -Sniffles- =/

The rain lasted til 7pm? That’s a whole lot of rain (!!!). I hope nobody got drenched by the rain or fell sick in the cold weather. Take care and eat more vitamins so your immune system is tougher and you can like… run in the rain topless and still come home feeling like you have the sahara desert burning in you.

Joking… =).

Even though your body temperature’s always really, really warm, I hope it didn’t get too cold for you at all today. I was thinking to myself just now how it was a pity that I can’t fit into the yellow bag – I would be able to see the matches, spend time with and not have to live a day without feeling your presence. It’s always cliche but important to say this – I miss you – have been missing, will be missing.

Let’s hope we have sweet dreams tonight, or actually no dreams at all, so we’ll both be energized for (hopefully) a bright new day. =)
