I told myself I’d update a week ago, and I’m a week late. (Oops, does anyone detect a similar opening here? =P)
I don’t know if I can find back the same me I was back in Virtualhug, but I’d like to very much! What I have now besides youth is time, and I’m going to treasure that (I’ll need lots and lots of that to finish art homework). =D

Hello! I’m a new visitor to this new chapter Jia, and I have only just discovered virtualhug. I was utterly charmed by that site – particularly the poetry and what you have said about the forget-me-not!
I should say a little bit about myself. You can probably tell by the way I’m writing that I’m quite a bit older than I suspect you are – in fact I have 2 daughters who may be about your age, if not a little older: 18 and 21. Georgia is 21 and is at university and Maeve is 18 and finishing college (high school). They are bright, beautiful, strong girls and I am very proud of them, as I’m sure your family must be of you.
I am also a student(!) finishing a PhD and working part time in a hospice, teaching nurses who work with dying people and their families. I use art and poetry a lot in my work and research, and this is how I came across you blog Jia! I was looking for poetry online – and there you were!
I think this is a beautiful thing that here I am in England, connecting with a young woman in another part of the world! It really is quite magical, although you probably take it for granted now.
Anyhow, I should be getting on with work really!
