Bedtime stories was an awesome movie! I loved the scene when our sand man avoided everything linked with fire haha, it was really, really funny. I like Adam Sandler and all the movies he appears in. I realised that I’ve never not liked a single one of them, and I watch them from beginning to end. =) My zhu and I were laughing frantically through out the movie, it was just so enjoyable that everyone in the theatre laughed along with us. Nice.^^

1. Granny Schimidts
It’s a bakery in emmaus, pennsylvania (www.grannyschmidts.com) that produces all sorts of funky cakes and other treats upon special request. This lady had it made special for her when her husband got her this cake made as a look alike to a Nikon camera. =) According to the details on flickr, the outside of the cake was made of fondant and the inside is red velvet cake. It sounds deliciously captivating, just look at the pictures!
Wowee! ^^ All photographs are taken from fsumaria’s on flickr, and I bet she went through such a struggle before letting her husband cut the cake for her. =) I am jealous! I want a cake that is shaped to be an animal, some day, or even like my favourite handbag, or pokky to be shaped like pencils! I mean, why not right?! =)

This was made for her friends mom/or mother in law, who at first thought her daughter had bought her a new hand bag, but screamed down the restaurant after she realized it was a handmade cake. Boy is she lucky. =) The cake artist also owns her own shop, Dragons and daffodils cakes.

About movies
I’ve only caught one movie this month, and that’s Yes Man. The movie came across as common sense to me – I mean of course you don’t say yes to everything that might hurt you, or is unnecessary, and the whole point of saying yes to so many things initially is to allow you to become open minded first, so you can make better decisions in the future which hopefully make you more of a Yes person. It’s a good habit to reconsider the pros and cons all the time, but taking a risk could bring you further than you know. =D And is it just me or is Jim Carrey not as funny anymore. =( And he definitely looks older.
I want to catch When the earth stood still, Bolt (everyone is raving about the Hammie), Australia (but it’s so long…), Bedtime stories (today! =D), The Visitor, and Ponyo on the cliff by the sea (it’s coming out soon)!
Ponyo ” is going to be such a great movie, I just can’t wait to watch the same producers for Totoro, Spirited away, Howl’s moving castle and numerous other animated productions to present their master piece! It is going to be amazing stuff!!! =D

About my wallet
As predicted, I’ve moved on. My wallet now rests in peace/the hands of an unknown person who can keep my EZlink card forever (I now regret not poking out my tongue in the photo- I’ve lived past regret, and am hoping to become a much more careful person from today onwards. My pie was telling me how disappointed he was, and how it was a waste of money, and also how I don’t learn from my mistakes… but I’m quite sure that this time it’s different. Well, I’ve been learning from chen, checking to make sure all my belongings are with me when I board/alight from a bus/mrt. I’m going to try to keep up this good habit! =) Thanks all who tried to make me feel better, because I do feel better about it too – that includes you, cousin. =P
About the new year
I don’t have any structured plans yet, but it seems like the day is going to revolve around girl friends and love. And sparklers. And candles. And ribbons. And good food – like Japanese Edi Tempuras. And alot of hugging. And laughing ^^! And joyous thanks giving. =) I’ve always wondered why don’t they celebrate thanks giving a day before or on the day of the new year, it’s such an appropriate time to reflect on everything from the last 365 days. And that’s a good time to set new year resolutions, and convince yourself that you’ll stick to them for the rest of next year. It will be a struggle, but as long as I put my mind/heart to it, I know I can do it. I just put my mind/heart on the wrong things, and become so distracted all the time… that’s why I’ve been spinning around in circles so much this year that I’ve tons of new things to do/catch up on in ‘09! ^^ Actually I better start now! Eeeee. But. I. I. I. duunnnnnwwaaaaaannnn. /_
About all other things random that have been floating about in my mind
1. It’s been such a long time since I’ve flown a kite. I used to do it really, really often with my dad back when I was little, and he always made sure the kite was flying way up high in the wind before he passed the line to me, because it would be my responsibility to make sure it stayed there. I remember feeling afraid that all of a sudden a gust would blow a hole in the thin paper, and it would come crashing down vertically onto the ground, so I always tugged on it to make it go higher, and higher… I disliked how it descends when you leave it alone, so I was always around to make sure it stayed there. Dad has this habit of letting the line loose once it’s way up high, and the kite would just float further and further away until it became a tiny dot amongst other tiny dots, and then it would disappear. And I would ask him everytime ‘aren’t you afraid the string will break when you pull it back?’ and he would say ‘Trust me. It won’t.’ and everytime it took him about half an hour to reel it in, and still the kite would be perfectly undamaged.
I want to fly a kite soon. ^^
2. I am a Cloud Junkie. I love looking at clouds, they just amaze me everytime. I don’t get it how people take so many photographs of sunsets and the morning sun and fail to realize the beauty in simple shaped clouds across the clear sky, or dramatically dark, stormy clouds that threaten to cry upon us. They are so beautiful, and all so different and inconsistent. I guess it’s really the unpredictability that leaves me standing in awe everytime. You see different clouds everyday, in the sky, how can that not be fascinating? It’s like one day, you’re looking outside your window on the same space in the sky and you see pinkish, orange clouds that are flat, as though they were cotton candy that’s thinning out, and then the next day, you see little dabs of white, holding onto each other, forming a white sheet… kinda like the see through peels dim sum uncles use to make dim sum. And as the wind comes along, bits and pieces get blown in different directions, and everything＇s scattered. The world is just such an amazing place. =)
3. The only thing that I can possibly understand about people’s love for TV soccer on ESPN, is that the Liverpool jersey looks really good, and Newcastle players look like prisoners. I know there’s another league/club/whatever they call it that resemble zebras too but I don’t know what they’re called! I am only fascinated by Messi’s footwork, that makes all of us jump out from our seats and stare with our mouth wide open, and this other guy’s amazing throwing skills that he can practically throw right INTO the GOAL from the sides without any assistance (but we all know that’s not counted as a goal), and the way soccer fans react to games – like how my pie’s moods are completely affected by a winning game (celebration and happy moods) in contrast to a defeat (sad, moody) -_-. Other than that, I completely do not understand how anyone can sit through an hour and a half of a soccer game on TV without feeling… bored. I would rather… stick my head into the freezer. Well no actually, I don’t want a brain freeze, or to become hypothermic (if that’s even possible). I would… rather watch something else! =/ I still find it bearable when he explains the game to me though, but I would rather watch a cooking channel, anytime. Cooking channels are the bomb diggity! =D They rule my TV world!
4. I will soon have to deal with a part of myself flying away. It’s kind of like… knowing that it will always be yours, and that it will come back, but you can’t seem to keep your mind off the part about seperation. It won’t be long, it’s just a few days, but I guess it’s true when they say a few days can feel like an entire month, and missing can be felt as pain and insecurity. Well it differs for different people, but I’m the type of person who will busy myself with a whole lot of other things in the day, and then crumble at night, when I have too much time to think and worry about – his safety, health, happiness, living conditions? And I am a self admitted hardcore crybaby – everytime I cry for a good reason I can go on for hours until my chest hurts. I don’t want to be stripped of this feeling that I’ve been surrounded by this entire month, but happiness is truly a choice, and I believe it’s still possible when he’s all the way in some far away land, fighting his heart out with the team. Only you can give yourself happiness. He may fuel it, but the choice ultimately is still yours. I guess I will use this time to do something meaningful for myself – like have self reflecting moments, learning how to improve myself =). It’s true that when you have the opportunity to view things from a different point of view, now that interaction is scarce, you see things in a different light.
He promises to sms me very often during different times of the day… it’s important for me to know how he’s doing, because I just can’t seem to stop worrying. I’m the kind of person who wants to know that you’re happy/full/healthy and that you’re okay, and you’re safe, and I want to make sure you come back perfectly unscathed. I tend to panic over the littlest things that I feel I have no control over, and … the reassurance of his well being is probably the best gift I can recieve each day we don’t see each other.=)
I actually wanted to post up pictures of the presents I recieved, but since I haven’t given all of them out yet -pokes at all of you-, that’ll have to wait til another time. =) I kind of promised to blog about xmas day, so here’s just some pictures.

and a wide spread of food. All sorts of meat and dressing. He was gulping down the steaks. =D I was lovin the pork. That sounds so weird!
And this is their mansion. Well, parts of it. They had a trampoline built in just for the day. It was so fun!!! Haha, I was in it most of the time just boinging about and tripping over smaller people aka children. Kinda. Haha, but it was funnnn whaaaaat.
They played tons of games, and all the kids looked so cute. =)
Then after that we headed over to my place for dinner. Steam boat and ‘Teppanyaki’, mummy style! It was fun, until the food started to taste too salty and somehow it only happened to me. =/
The teppanyaki ‘grill’ can actually also be used as a steamboat, but mom’s just innovative. =P
Oh and I liked the prawns. Everyone sitting at the table could tell I guess! Haha =)
Dad got this pretty cake from UOB Bank! I have no idea why either. Anyway it had like these golden balls on top, and feng got to eat one of them and it turns out that it’s just white chocolate coated with edible golden dust. Cool! =) I like. Pretty. If only we can keep them like this forever. =D
And then we opened presents, and mom sent him home. =)

I don’t want the 3rd of January to come. I don’t want it to the extent I could cry a river .
Today was actually a really good day. We had tuition in the morning, and then mum, mei and my cousin followed me down to queensway to get basketball socks, and then i walked about serene’s centre later on and discovered a new hair product, and then we ate dinner together with his mum and grandpa later and it was my first time eating this delicious crab mian xian, and then we literally danced our way down to mobile to get soya bean… and then this invisible cloud came above my head as i alighted at my stop,
and realised that i had lost my wallet. Well the first thing that came to mind was ‘Shit!’ and then i tried stopping the bus but it just zoomed away. Second thing that came to mind: Cab!!! Chase it!!! But then I checked my bag and I had no money …dotdotdot. And then I decided to call mom to see if she could help me with this chase but she was out watching a movie and didn’t pick up my calls… gua gua. T_T Oh and I fell. And then I happend to notice this bunch of chinese boys who were smiling at me… and I almost blew up at them but decided to hold it in. So then I gave up, came home, reported my missing wallet to the service site online and called the boonlay interchange and the customer service and up til now there is still no good news.
I am heartbroken. The wallet was a gift (it’s not the pink one anymore, that zipper spoilt so I switched it, so kevy, lena, it’s not that one!), but it still means alot to me. I have my ez link card inside with a whole lot of money -heart aches-, a packet of beads and tons of old receipts that need to be thrown away anyway so good riddance, but just that thought won’t make me feel any better now will it. =/
I’m just hoping that it can come back in one piece. I’m just surprised that the lady who looked at me leave the bus didn’t notice my wallet on the seat as I stood up. Well, actually I’m more angry at myself for being so careless again. It’s not the first time I’ve lost a personal belonging on the bus, so… Hmm. I hope I can get it back. It would save me a whole load of trouble making another ez link card – that means taking another photo >< and even though I’ve still got more than enough cash to survive on for the next month or so, I still broke one family rule and lost hard earned cash. I feel bad. I didn’t really lose anything that was very personal or majorly important to me… but I still lost alot, in terms of cash. =/ Oh and my mother’s trust.
Well, guess we’ll have to see how it turns out. Who knows, I just may get a call in a minute! Or… if that never happens tonight, I will be with my new ez link card by monday, and it will be in a new wallet, with cash in it and more receipts and I’ll just continue living life as usual – oh man, I feel like I don’t learn any lessons now adays.
I must think of a punishment to punish myself.
But I’m already upset and guilty. Does that count at all? …
Anyway, I just called the interchange and it’s been about an hour since the incident, so … no wallets were retrieved. Sigh. I feel so disheartened. =( It’s like your little bit of hope being estinguished by this nice-sounding guy on the phone reassuring you that all the buses take about 1 hour to and fro and that the bus I was on has probably already reached the interchange. Wallet? Undetected. =(

Today was spent at darling’s aunt’s house and my place later on and I am so STUFFED that I actually had difficulties breathing. I’m really tired from all the jumping on the trampoline at his aunt’s place too and the sudden highness once a while, so I think I’ll blog about the day tomorrow. It was fun, but more sweet than fun. =) It was a home-sick christmas.

It was actually a really affordable trip, considering that we stayed in one of the 5 star hotels on this island and it didn’t exactly burn a hole in our pockets. It was mom’s whole plan actually, to just go there and soak up the natural environment, and she succeeded, because the environment there is simply drop dead gorgeous, and perfect for any honeymoon (HINT!). Just let the photographs convince you. =)
I won’t be blogging in order, because I can’t quite remember how it went exactly… and there are just so many photographs – close to 1k? I can’t post everyone of them up too right ><, so here’s my very brief summary of the trip after looking through everything. I can’t possibly blog about everything la! Mostly just photographs though, =P YES, mei, you can finally kope everything now. (; I feel happy to recount everything, this is quite exciting!

I guess one thing I learnt from this trip is to love my environment much much more, and to love my family/peers/love much more than I have ever, because you never know when you will lose them, so let’s make every moment spectacular and worth remembering. And yes, I carved the heart, out of a papaya and sprinkled salt on it. I am strange, I know. =)

1. Do you have secrets?
Plenty! I think some secrets have to be hidden/kept where as some habits or experiences become secrets by themselves – you don’t feel the need to share them so it becomes personal.
2. Would you fall in love with a boy/girl older than you?
I don’t know, actually. They always say it’s most suitable to go for a boy who is 2 years older than you because they are some how much more mature (but some say 2 years don’t really make a difference in maturity for boys hahaha) and you both start work about the same time so there’s less burden on you if you were to both get married and have the urge to start a family asap. It actually makes a whole lot of sense, but if you want to ‘play safe’, then you’re just missing out on so many more possibilities. Stay open-minded!
3. How long do you intend to wait for someone u really love?
Speaking from my current LIFE, … I only have the patience to wait for an hour. After that I’ll usually get mad and head to some cafe/window shop to allow time to fly by faster, while complaining to him that he’s very, very late and I am unhappy, and then when he turns up I will bring him hell.
But If this question was asked when I was single, I willl wait only some 2 years max. If he asks you to wait (which is strange for a guy but… I’ll take it as that), he better not be doing random things in this time, but preparing himself for the deadline when we’re meeting. Some people say wait, but they just mean to say ‘I need some time to ‘get to know other people’,’ or ‘I don’t think you might be the one yet’ or (the really dumb)’ This is a test of love’, I mean seriously?! … Waiting 2 years for someone to settle down the first few years into university/ starting his own business might be okay, but I don’t believe in how a relationship can be that big of a distraction because it’s up to him to weigh how important it is in his life. And of course, I would have to be understanding too. So max 2 years I guess!
If I were drunk and sober, perhaps I’d wait a lifetime. =) Heh.
4. What would you do with a billion dollars?

5. Would you fall in love with your best friend?
I don’t think so. Well it might happen if my sexual orientation is a little kookoo, but still the chances are very small. It’s like right now I’d prefer my best friends as friends, not as partners in a love relationship.
6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Both. This question is hard. I find loving someone to be an act that comes straight from the heart so it’s 100% natural and no longer a chore, and then sometimes when you both quarrel, loving someone completely becomes so difficult because of that invisible barrier, that makes both parties so much less receptive to love. The inability to love can sometimes be a torture as well. Being loved is an amazing feeling. Like I said, this question is a bully. =(
7. How do you define love?
Love definitely has to be addictive, not in the sense that it works like a drug, but because it has ingenious ways of getting into your system, enveloping you completely such that … your life isn’t really yours anymore, it’s also someone else’s. It’s like two lives intwine. It becomes a responsibility, never a burden, and is everlasting (with positive thinking)!
8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
I believe the right thing to do is back off? … No discussion!
9. What makes you happy?
Love, good buddies, happy family, glorious food (tempura prawns thank you very much!!!), excitement, thrill of new experiences, art and beautiful, fantastic things. Reflecting and being blessed. =)
10. What makes you sad?
Being hungry, being bullied, not getting my way, having not enough money to spend on material wants (this is bad!!!), getting hurt in ANY way because I’m like uber sensitive to pain(like poking my thumb when twining wire) ow, not having enough good sleep, having a bad dream, having a head ache, being late for an important thing! Many more but I need a while to think heeeeee ^^
11. How would you see yourself in 10 years time?
In 10 years I will be 27. I want to get married by 26, have one child by then, be teaching and working, living in a nice cozy little place the ith the love of my life and family, I want to be baking loads of sweet delicacies and wishing them merry christmas eve next to a large christmas tree =) -speaking of xmas trees, we’ve had ours since I was 3-4, and we put it up every year, and I wonder if I can have it with me when I’m still 27. =D

Happiness. I know it sounds overrated, but without that, life’s pretty sad don’t you think?
15. Would you rather be single and rich or married but poor?
Neither… I want to be married and rich? Actually I’m fine being married and have enough to spend for the family, but it’s always better to be well off, a whole lot more freedom to do things you and your family wants to do, and much less financial burden on everyone. I should start saving again =)
15. What is your favourite colour?
Still metallic colours. But I’ve also recently started lovin the colour of pearls, that natural/undyed colour that has a tinge of peach/yellow depending on what type it is. I’ve got one the size of the fingernail on my last pinky that came naturally from the mouth of the shell (I was to dig it out myself but got too scared so the guy did it for me) that I got in US when I was younger. So pretty!!! =)
16. If you fall in love with two people simulateneously, and both do the same, who would you pick?
This would only be applicable if I weren’t attached now so, assuming I’m single and I meet a situation like this… I’d pick the one I feel more for. I mean, wouldn’t that be your most natural thought? Like Pauline said, natural selection. It’s true, you realize? If you want to be sensitive and unselfish, you could pick neither, but if you let it continue fuelling in them then you’re just being mean. Don’t you know that boys torture themselves thinking!
17. Would you forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing someone has done?
Very unlikely. It depends on how ‘horrible’ the experience was. I think I’ve only really never forgived one person, and I think she knows it whenever we converse, because the truth is I’ve already forgiven twice, and asking me to do it a third time is like a big slap in my face again, who knows what’s going to happen next? Another year down the road and I’m forgiving for the fifth/sixth time? Impossible, so I just gave up. This case, as many people have told me, is pointless to think about because you’re practically running in circles all the time, so just take it like it’s invisible. Sounds everything mean, but it makes a lot of sense, and I agree. It’s become a friendship I don’t ever want to make happen.
18. What would you tell someone you like?
Like? not love? …Erm, Merry christmas? (: Haha.
Actually I’m the type who says ‘I think you’re so nice to talk to’ when I like you. (: Hahaha, many people know that I like them! Don’t use it against me!
19. If there is a choice between love and friendship, which will you choose?
Assuming that I’m single. It depends on what type of person he/she is. If he says ‘only love, no friendship’, then we won’t even be friends, but then everything’s more complicated than that, so, it’s hard to tell. If the situation tells me that it’s better just to be friends, then we’ll just be friends, the same for love.

Pre Trip Events:
1. Attending Kor’s SAFTI graduating ceremony (or something like that) all the way at Boonlay =_= (woo that rhymes!) Met some of his friends and the event was pretty eyeopening. The most important thing is that I HAVE PICTURES, Mwa-ha-ha! The experience kind of made me realized I never want to enlist for NS, ever. =P But good job anyway, kor! =) Nice!
2. Sleep over! =)
3. Met a new friend in our math tuition class on sat! She’s from RJ too, so that makes us the 3 RJ mathketeers. Err, ignore that.
4. Bro coming back from his 6weeks Bei Jing Trip! He brought back this new ability to consume vegetables =D Doesn’t he like deserve an award? along with a taller and skinnier build(which I still haven’t gotten used to), AND he bought us bags. ^^ Awww… I’m using it for school when our classes start. It’s pink, another reason for more people to call me niang and girly and little miss teh-teh. =/
5. Dear’s aunt lent me like tons of equipment and resources for jewellery making and totally gave me like a full course and on wire works and beading O_O on making all sorts of jewellery, and above that, I had also recently discovered my old bag filled with $_000 worth of little jewellery (the price tags were all still stuck on top, so like yeah i counted everything), hence… I have been obsesseddd. O_O I’ve made another 8 earrings so far and 5 new bracelets to the collection and the beads are like still overflowing! AHHH. ^^ Super happy feeling… heehee, look out for fairy-themed christmas presents. (:
Post Trip Events:
1. Complete 60 mixed berry tarts for mom’s sale at church to raise funds

4. Zf’s at my place now, with my nainai, cousins, siblings and mom. Mom fed him alot, like she gave him two slices of thick toast with egg white mash in butter, a curry puff from old chang kee (they make me believe it’s possible to feel closer to Heaven ^^), slices of yummy wummy expensive butter cake (!!!), a vegetarian cracker, and she wants to bring him to eat at a restaurant. I have this slight jealousy about how she seems to favour him over me… =(((. No fairrr. I want to be stuffed with yummy food toooooooo!!! T_T He always complains that he’s paiseh and that he’s already full, but he’s too shy to reject them. On second thought, I don’t want to be treated like him. =P
Now, about the trip! The trip was great actually =), and it totally helped us to bond in such a short period of time (Great takeaway!), but I missed so much in Singapore. I’m wondering how I’m going to catch up with all the news and fast pace of life all over again. Oh well, I’ll manage! Mum had like moments when she’d go into ’strange’ or ‘weird’ mode, and then she’ll do funny little things… and both sisters will just be like O_O mom? MOM!!! Hahaha, I’ve come to believe that I do take after her in some ‘interesting’ ways. =)
Okay we’re going out to eat at one of my favourite restaurants (since I was a kid), pretty excited and he’s next to me chanting ‘fat, fat, fat-fat’, … ignore that, BYE!!! ^^
